How Can They Choose You?

Let’s get straight to it: Being the best-kept secret in your market isn’t doing you any favors.

You could be the sharpest negotiator, the go-to for market insights, and the agent with the deepest local connections—but if people don’t know you exist, how can they choose you?

I recently had a client share something that stuck with me. They went to a fundraising event in their community, and throughout the night, complete strangers were coming up to them saying, “I love your videos!” These weren’t friends or family—they were people they’d never even met.

That’s the power of showing up. That’s how trust gets built before you even meet someone.  So, how do you make it happen?  Here’s where to start:

  1. Get clear on who you are. What do you stand for? What makes you different?
  2. Own your story. The most compelling content is personal—it connects people to you, not just your listings.
  3. Be consistent. Showing up once in a while doesn’t cut it. You have to stay in front of your audience.

The biggest objection I hear from agents is, “Video content isn’t worth my time. It won’t lead to business.”  But let me tell you: the agents showing up consistently are winning. They’re building recognition, trust, and relationships—and yes, they’re closing deals because of it.

Going into 2025, the question is:‍

Will you be the agent people think of first? Or will they scroll past you to the ones showing up online, building trust, and making themselves known? The choice is yours.
